Lorrae Rominger , Interim Executive Director of the Goldman Prize, recently returned from a trip to Europe where she had the opportunity to engage with potential nominators and connect with past Prize winners. On the first leg of her trip, Rominger met with 2005 Prize recipient Stephanie Roth in Berlin, Germany, where Roth now lives. Roth won the Goldman Prize for leading an international campaign to stop the construction of what would have been Europe’s largest open cast gold mine in Romania. Today, Roth works for  The Agricultural and Rural Convention ( ARC2020 ) , a network of more than 150 civil society groups and organizations devoted to agricultural policy reform in Europe.
